- Yes. When operated and maintained according to the product manual, the Mossa Series is suitable for freshwater, inshore, or sheltered saltwater environments. After each use in saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry all metal parts. Important: Before rinsing, the protective covers for the electrical ports must be properly closed to prevent water from entering the ports, causing corrosion or short circuits.
- The unloaded hull draft is approximately 3.1 in / 7.7 cm. Under the *recommended operating load, the hull draft is approximately 6 in / 15.2 cm.
- However, before lowering the XPDL drive and skeg, the kayak requires at least 20 in / 51 cm of water depth.
- Therefore, although the hull can float and move in shallower water, the deployed XPDL drive and skeg extend deeper below the waterline. Before entering shallow water, approaching the shore, launching, or landing, these two components should be raised.
*Note: The recommended operating load is 350 lb / 158 kg.
- Yes. When the XPDL electrical ports are properly covered with protective caps, the above-water parts, including the display and 360° electronic Hand Control, have an IPX5 waterproof rating. This ensures that the equipment can continue to operate during heavy rain or rinsing. However, please note that IPX5 is not a submersion rating. Do not submerge the equipment in water, as this may damage the internal sealing structure.
- Therefore, the XPDL was designed with weight balance in mind from the beginning. When the *central dry storage box is installed, if the XPDL accidentally falls into the water, it can float on the surface and should be retrieved promptly.
*Note: This applies when there are no heavy items inside the central dry storage box, and the storage box hatch is fully closed and locked.
- The standard charging time is 6 hours. Please use the original charging adapter. A red light indicates charging, and a green light indicates fully charged. The safe charging temperature range is 32°F–113°F / 0°C–45°C.
1.Regularly checking the integrity of the propeller is crucial to maintaining excellent propulsion efficiency. If damage, cracks, or loose fasteners are found, replace the original propeller assembly in time.
2.Two sacrificial alloy anode blocks are installed under the XPDL. Through the principle of sacrificial protection, they provide core corrosion protection for the motor. It is recommended to inspect and clean the alloy anode blocks once every quarter. When the protection effect has been consumed to the critical level, with approximately one-third of the volume remaining, replace them to extend the structural durability of the device in extreme water environments.
3.The system’s high-efficiency output relies on the high-quality dedicated lubrication medium. Regularly checking the sealing performance of the lubrication system can effectively prevent abnormal mechanical vibration and noise. If lubrication performance is reduced, add the original dedicated grease in time. This is a key step in ensuring long-term smooth operation of the transmission gears.
4.Each VoyaX high-energy battery is designed for long-lasting range performance. To optimize the chemical activity of the cells, for long-term storage, it is recommended to maintain the ideal battery level of 40%–60% and complete one charge-discharge cycle every quarter. After use in a saltwater environment, clean the surface immediately to ensure the conductivity of the power ports and the overall service life of the battery pack.
5.The high-performance composite washer at the bottom of the Hand Control knob is an important component for providing control precision and a smooth damping feel. Please replace the high-performance composite washer according to system prompts. This can effectively prevent control feel degradation caused by natural aging and ensure precise steering.

- The Mossa 128 features an optimized hull bottom and side gunwale design, aiming to provide precise handling, efficient speed performance, and a balanced combination of primary stability and secondary stability. This means that when you switch from a seated position to a standing position, the hull can remain stable. For most adult users, it can serve as a steady fishing platform on the water.
- If you are a beginner, it is recommended to try standing for the first time in waters with lighter wind and waves. After mastering balance, you can proceed with stand-up operation.
In regular fishing environments, a single battery provides 8–10 hours of operating time. With dual batteries, the operating time can reach 16–20 hours.
1.Manual Mode: All power is provided by human pedaling. Speed depends on the rider’s pedaling cadence, and the battery power is minimally consumed.
2.Assist Mode: Four assist levels are available. The brushless power motor senses the rider’s pedaling cadence and adjusts output power accordingly. Therefore, faster pedaling can generate greater thrust without requiring additional pedaling force from the rider. In this mode, battery consumption depends on cruising speed, and the overall power consumption is relatively slow.
3.Electric Mode: Ten speed levels provide continuous power without pedaling. Higher levels provide higher speed and thrust. Because water resistance increases significantly as speed increases, the highest Level 10 in this mode consumes battery power the fastest.
Reference data based on a single battery under ideal conditions*:
1.Assist Mode Level 2 | 3.0 mph: Can operate continuously for approximately 12.4 h, with a range of about 37.2 miles.
2.Assist Mode Level 4 | 4.7 mph: Can operate continuously for approximately 3.5 h, with a range of about 16.5 miles.
3.Electric Mode Level 2 | 1.1 mph: Can operate continuously for approximately 72.0 h, with a range of about 79.2 miles.
4.Electric Mode Level 6 | 3.0 mph: Can operate continuously for approximately 11.5 h, with a range of about 34.5 miles.
5.Electric Mode Level 10 | 5.6 mph: Can operate continuously for approximately 1.7 h, with a range of about 9.3 miles.
*Note: Actual performance may vary depending on load, water conditions, battery status, speed, and operating mode.
Before going ashore, raise the XPDL drive and pull up the skeg using the pull cord. Before loading for transport, it is recommended to remove the drive, battery, and seat from the hull, and properly flip and secure the Hand Control. This can reduce carrying weight and help protect the drive, Hand Control, and battery from unexpected vibration or impact during transportation.
If the hull is loaded in a relatively safe transport position, such as the semi-enclosed bed of a pickup truck, the seat may remain installed and laid flat.
Finally, remove or secure all other loose accessories to prevent damage or loss, such as the hull scupper plugs.
After inspection, VoyaX will determine the appropriate service solution, which may include repair, replacement, or other corrective actions. If additional damage is found or the issue is outside warranty coverage, a quotation or further service recommendation may be provided. Repairs will only proceed upon your approval.
